We use Google Analytics 4 with anonymized IP to count visitors and see which pages are read. Nothing else: no advertising, no profiling, no third-party trackers. The analytics cookies are NOT set until you click "Accept" on the consent banner — your choice is stored locally and remembered on subsequent visits.
What we use
Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd, GA4 property G-851SHXVQ49) with anonymize_ip enabled and Consent Mode v2. We rely on it to know roughly how many people visit each page and which countries they come from, so we can decide where to focus the development effort. Data sent to Google is aggregated and never tied to your identity.

When (and only when) you accept the banner, Google Analytics may set the following cookies: _ga (2 years, used to distinguish unique users), _ga_851SHXVQ49 (2 years, used to persist session state). These are first-party cookies for this domain.
What we do NOT use
No advertising networks. No Facebook / Meta Pixel. No Hotjar / FullStory / session replay. No fingerprinting scripts. No retargeting. The app itself (carcontrol-obd2.app on Android) collects nothing — this policy concerns only the marketing website.
How to refuse / change your mind
You can refuse all analytics cookies via the consent banner that appears on your first visit. Even after accepting, you can revoke consent any time using the button below — the page will reload and the analytics cookies will be cleared on the next visit. Alternatively, your browser's privacy settings (Do Not Track, third-party cookie blocking) and ad-blockers will also prevent analytics loading.
If anything changes
If we add another analytics or marketing tool we will update this page and require fresh consent through the banner before any new cookie is set.
